In February 2025, a couple in Auckland were having a lot of problems with their kitchen. They were constantly facing various problems while cooking. So they started looking for an expert who could solve their kitchen problems.

They hired a local renovation expert to solve their problems. But the problem was not completely solved. Although some of the problems changed slightly, most of the problems remained the same. So they again looked for a trusted kitchen Renovation expert.

Then they contacted us, and when we listened to their problems, we realized that this was not a simple problem, but rather a flaw in the design of the entire kitchen. And we gave them advice on how to solve the problem. They happily agreed to work with us. After that, we started looking for the problem.

We inspected their kitchen and found some serious problems. Here are the details:

1. Storage Problems

The kitchen had very little storage space. There was no proper space to store spices, cooking utensils, and essentials. The cabinets were small and haphazardly arranged.

2. Lack of Counter Space

The counter space in their kitchen was so small that it was difficult to do several tasks at once. There was no space for food preparation.

3. Poor Ventilation

The kitchen had no ventilation system, which caused the cooking fumes and odors to remain inside the room, making the environment unhealthy.

4. Inadequate Lighting

The kitchen had no lighting, only a central light, which could not illuminate the entire area. As a result, it became dark while cooking.

5. Bad layout

The stove, sink, and refrigerator in the kitchen were so far apart that you had to walk a lot while cooking.

6. Lack of electrical sockets

The previous kitchen did not have enough electrical sockets to run the cooking appliances. This made it difficult to operate the coffee machine, microwave, oven, etc.

7. Garbage management problems

There was no proper garbage disposal anywhere in the kitchen, which made the cooking area even messier.

8. Insect infestation

Insects were often seen in the kitchen, which became a source of annoyance for them.

How We Solving Kitchen Problems

This is what their kitchen looked like when we handed it over to them after they completed the renovation.

We identified the problems one by one and came up with solutions. For each problem, we created a specific plan. Here is how we solved each problem:

1. Storage Problem Solving

We installed new wall-mounted cabinets and shelves on the kitchen wall. This created the necessary space for storing cooking utensils and spices. In addition, sliding drawers and shelf dividers were added inside the cabinets, so that small items could be easily stored.

2. Lack of Counter Space

We added a new foldable counter to increase the counter space, so that more space is available when needed, while cooking. It can be folded up, so that the kitchen is clean and tidy.

3. Ventilation System

Since the kitchen did not have a good ventilation system, we installed a modern chimney, which will absorb cooking fumes. In addition, we installed a powerful exhaust fan near the window to help the hot air in the kitchen escape.

4. Lighting

We installed a bright, warm white LED light system for the entire kitchen. We also added under-cabinet LED lights to illuminate the counters and work areas.

5. Layout changes

We rearranged the positions of the stove, sink, and refrigerator following the kitchen triangle principle. This means less walking while cooking, and the cooking process becomes much simpler.

6. Lack of electrical sockets

We added the necessary electrical sockets in different places in the kitchen. Each place can be used effortlessly with the microwave, coffee machine, and other cooking appliances.

7. Garbage management

We installed a built-in dustbin system inside the kitchen cabinets to hide the trash and keep the kitchen clean.

8. Insect Prevention

We sealed every crack in the kitchen with sealant to prevent insects from entering. As a result, the kitchen environment became clean and hygienic.

Results and client feedback

When we handed over the kitchen to them, they were very happy. They said—

Brother, if I had found you all this time, I wouldn’t have had to go through all this trouble! Where have you been?

We were really happy to hear their happy words. They were very satisfied, and they even gave us an extra tip for our work.

This project cost them $18,000. However, according to them, it was a good investment, because now they can cook in peace.

This was another successful project for us, where we were able to complete the work with client satisfaction.
